Today the girls in Chantels graduating class are celebrating the life of a classmate with a memorial Mass in her honor. One year ago today Caroline passed away, she was 14. Caroline had brain cancer but it didn't have her.
She graduated from the eighth grade with her class in June of 2008 and entered her freshman year of high school at Mount de Sales Academy like any excited girl. She became ill again after a few weeks of school and was unable to return to her classes, however, she was and always will be a Sailor - Class of 2012.
Caroline in her short life touched all of the 120 girls in her graduating class. She unknowingly created a bond between the girls that normally takes over a year and a half to make. Caroline is with the girls everyday in their hearts by wearing a special yellow heart on their blazers at school.
