It has officially been one week ...

I've been in Wilmington for a week.  I'm feeling like I'm not doing too badly.  C's in good hands with my mom, Bella is in good hands with C and the boys (cats) well ... they do what they want whenever they want.  They could care less as long as their box is clean and  there's food in their feeder.  Bella chases them everyday so they get their exercise and when they are tired of her they will hiss at her and she runs away. 

So last night I got called at 11:15pm to come back to the Law Center (it was my on call night).  I brushed my teeth and my hair because I had already been asleep for two hours, put on my hoodie and yoga pants and headed down stairs.  There I was for another 2 hours editing a document because others were still preparing binders and getting attorneys ready for Court.  I headed back up stairs to have my alarm go off at 5am.  It certainly didn't feel like I got 3 more hours of sleep.  Needless to say, today was a really long day considering I'm still on the clock until 9pm.

I sent my clothes out to be laundered today.  Four  pairs of pants, seven shirts, five pairs of socks and seven pairs of  ... and it was almost $100!  I am so glad I am not paying for this! Holy crap!  

I still haven't been outside the hotel other than to open the door and get some fresh air.  I think tomorrow I'll find a buddy and go for a walk if it warms up some.  Like an idiot, I didn't bring a coat. It was warm in Maryland when I left and I'm only an hour north - who would have thought it wouldn't be warm here?? 

Day two of Court tomorrow.  Another early start at 6am and then on call tomorrow night.   It's an every other night kind of thing with the other senior person because the legal assistants aren't comfortable changing these complicated Word and Excel documents.
