I've been in this hotel for almost two weeks and I know when I left my socks were matched up in pairs - hooked together like they're suppose to be. I put them in my luggage that way and then into the drawer in my room. Wouldn't you know it - I went to put on a pair of socks this morning and one of the buggers was MISSING!
I looked in my luggage (now accumulating dirty clothes) and I looked in the drawer below the one that my socks and underwear are in and nowhere to be found. I took all the items out of the drawer thinking maybe it got separated somehow from it's mate. You know, like it got tired of hanging out with the same one - sometimes we do that as people. We get tired of drinking the same thing so we switch up sometimes or we get tired of the same type of pizza so we try different toppings (unless you're C - you stick with pepperoni or cheese) well I think you get my point.
My conclusion - we've been blaming the dryer all along for eating our socks and it's not their fault! The sock leaves on it's own.
I don't have access to a dryer here - so where in the hell did my sock go? It grabbed it's suitcase (as small as it is) and left - see ya, I'm done with this hotel BS and your smelly feet and I'm leaving town. That's the only explanation I have for my one sock.
Buggers.
Stan, the appliance repairman in Delaware told me that dryers DO NOT eat socks. Washing machines eat socks.
ReplyDeleteBut now you come up with a conspiracy theory about socks leaving from the drawer. Perhaps it did not leave voluntarily as you suggest. Maybe it was taken against its will. Have you questioned the other socks?
